As a general dentist, I can say that in spite of increasing popularity of implantology, a comprehensive education and training about it remains limited to post-graduate courses. Only a few diploma courses can actually do justice to the dynamic field of implants. Dr. Rajat’s dental diploma courses on implant complications is one such course and I am glad to have completed it early in my career.
This course is of world-class quality, unbiased, evidence-based and clinically-oriented one. We began the journey by exploring how discoveries in biology and technological developments lead to the current practice of dental implants. Then, we examined clinical cases, diagnose the patients’ needs and expectations and learn the principles of treatment planning. Step-by-step surgical procedures for placing implants and various restorative techniques were taught and the lessons were directed by current evidence and best practices. In the last leg of our course, we investigated some of the major threats and complications of implant procedures and ways to ensure successful treatments and long serving implants.
All in all, I can say that this was a very thorough course and definitely delivered way more than just the name. I would sincerely urge my fellow clinicians to join this course so that the level of implant dentistry being practiced can be elevated and improved.
