Dr. Balamurgan

Whenever there is any new advancement in the field of dentistry, there exists a duty of care for all dental health professionals to learn and apply it on their patients. In order to introduce lasers in my practice, I needed to learn lasers in and out so that I could use it safely and effectively. For this reason I attended a couple of courses before joining the laser dentistry course at Dr. Rajat’s dental institute in Delhi. This course was definitely the most wholesome of all and incorporated all the tips and tricks needed to actually practice lasers in clinics.
I thoroughly enjoyed all the lectures by Dr. Rajat and Dr. Prakash. Dr. Rajat had a more informal review of cases where he discussed the examples of failed cases and I felt that it was the highlight of the program. I loved learning about laser science and the different types of lasers currently on the market (the positives and negatives of each instrument). The mentors broke it down to make it easy to understand for all.
Coming from a functional perspective as a dentist, I really enjoyed the hands-on experience using the soft and hard-tissue laser. I have a better understanding of the release procedure of frenectomies and how to approach the frenulum and the surrounding tissues and muscles. They also focused on the most recent challenges in modern dentistry, covering topics from periimplantitis, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, pain therapy and photo biomodulation, facial aesthetics and smile design, blood-less surgeries and root canal treatments.
I am glad to have completed this course and I have already started to use lasers in my own practice. My standards of practice definitely feels elevated and I have only Dr. Rajat Sachdeva and his team to thank for.
