This quote holds water now more than ever. The time of pandemic was a period of uncertainty for everyone including dental professionals. The patients were not able to come to dental clinics even though they required urgent treatment. Dentists needed to adapt to different virtual methods to attend to their patients.
We at Dr. Sachdeva’s dental clinic is prepared to deal with such adversities, thus prioritizing our patient’s health. We provide round the clock assistance to our patients wherein the patients can consult Dr. Rajat Sachdeva at any time. We are also first of the few dental clinics in New Delhi who are providing the facility of Tele-dentistry.
The term “Tele-dentistry” is derived from two words, “tele” is for telecommunications and “dentistry”. It involves the exchange of clinical case history and images from anywhere in the world for diagnosis and treatment planning. We not only practice what we teach but also teach what we practice.
Students at our institute will not only be taught about the theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, but we also educate them about the challenges faced when setting up a private practice. We upskill them and keep them abreast of the latest advancements so that they always make the right choice.
This pandemic has also taught us about the importance of safety protocol that should be followed by dentists. We are proud that our clinic and institute has never compromised on the safety of our doctors and staff.
We strictly adhere to all safety protocols and use only disposable and single-use materials wherever indicated. We also follow uncompromising aseptic and barrier techniques.
We have also worked on reducing the radiation exposure time for our patients and staff by using digital X-rays. We have in-house facility for taking IOPA (intra oral peri-apical) radiographs, so that the final diagnosis and discussion regarding the treatment is also done same day.
We have also moved on to metal-free dentistry and no longer use silver amalgam fillings, thus reducing hazards of mercury. Moreover, tooth-colored fillings have completely taken over the traditional restorative materials and yield high patient satisfaction.
Dentistry has evolved considerably over the last few decades and will continue to do so.
