When I completed my graduation in dentistry, I was so confused about my future. Although I wanted to open my own private clinic, I did not have enough experience in clinical dentistry. A senior of mine suggested me to pursue dental diploma courses. After my follow-up research, I decided to go for Dr. Sachdeva’s dental institute in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. It was one of the best decision I took for my career. It has provided me with the milestone I will cherish forever.
I haven’t done many root canal treatments during my BDS, so I opted for basic and advanced endodontics course at Dr. Sachdeva’s institute. The basic endodontic course was for 3 days wherein I got to first learn on extracted teeth and then on live patients. Dr. Rajat is an excellent dentist who really understands the plight of young students and has always motivated us to achieve more.
We were even provided with all the instruments that were required for the course. The course conductor Garvita was supportive and patient with all of us. I was so satisfied with the outcome of the course that I even planned for advanced endodontics course.
We were first educated about the latest advancements in the field of endodontics including orientation in microscope and magnification loupes. New concepts like precuring, apical tuning and anti-curvature filing were taught to us. The entire course is so well planned that they don’t miss out on any aspect of endodontics.
As humans, we are bound to make errors like broken files, perforations or failed RCTs. The interesting thing of this course is that they prepare you for any such eventuality. We were taught about the concept and rationale of Re-RCT and broken file removal and perforation repair.
Following course completion, I was awarded with the certificate of endodontics affiliated to Dentsply Academy Overall, the course really changed my career graph and rekindled my interest in dentistry. As of today, I am fully confident to perform any kind of endodontic treatments.
Although there are many institutes that provide these courses, it is difficult to find an academy where both professional and personal growth is encouraged. I am proud to say that I am an alumnus of Dr. Sachdeva’s dental institute and would recommend my juniors and other young budding dentists to pursue these courses as well.
