IMPLANTS – STUDENT TESTIMONY
My journey at Dr. Sachdeva’s dental institute has been truly rewarding. I have officially completed ICOI Master Clinical Implants Training from this institute recently. I am proud to say that this is the best academy for you if you are considering an implant course. Dr. Rajat Sachdeva, owner and mentor is an excellent implantologist with 17 years of experience in all types of implants. He is also a brilliant teacher and is always ready to share his knowledge and experience to young dental professionals.
This course is very well designed and every aspect of implant training is incorporated in this syllabus. We were first given theoretical knowledge about the anatomy, bone biology and its physiology, concepts of osseo-integration and more. Before we could start with hands-on training, we learned how to select a good case for implants and devise a treatment plan taking into account every small detail which could affect the outcome of the case. Radiographic interpretation forms the backbone in diagnosis of implant cases, including CBCT scans and OPG. We were taught how to read a normal and pathological radiograph and scan and locate the important anatomical landmarks on them. Other important pre-surgical aspects like medical considerations of the patients, pharmacology of implants, preparation of surgical guides using advanced software and virtual planning of the implant placement was also included in the course.
We were made to understand the importance of sterility protocols, especially in this era of pandemic and safeguarding us and our patients. The lectures were comprehensive yet simplified to make us all understand and apply that knowledge in our hands-on practice. We were split into small batches so that every student was given undivided attention by the faculty. The entire course was for 10 days over 6 months span and each day was challenging and we got to learn something new. We were first made to practice the incision, flaps, sinus augmentation, immediate implants, ridge extension and full mouth implant cases. As promised, we were made to insert implants independently on live patients under the guided supervision of Dr. Rajat Sachdeva sir. Dr. Rajat Sachdeva has designed the courses in such a way that we were able to deliver safe and satisfactory treatments to the patients with predictable prognosis.
I had come to Delhi especially for this implants course and I have not been disappointed. The entire workshop was so useful and has definitely improved my confidence level in implant placement. I had even stayed back for a couple of days after my course was completed just to observe other cases. I was lucky enough to be a part of an interesting case of black fungus, wherein Dr. Rajat sir had placed 2 zygomatic and 2 nasal implants and given a full prosthesis to the patient.
The staff and faculty at this institute even stays in contact with us after the course completion and we can always contact them for any doubts or queries in our cases. It was really a privilege to have completed my implants training from this institute and I am really confident enough now.
