Oral Surgery Training Courses

dr jay shankar from torronto on oral surgury training courses

Dr. Rajat Sachdeva’s institute for dental diploma courses at New Delhi is training dentists in all aspects of dentistry and offering a wide range of dental certified courses in different formats. Our workshop on Oral surgery is specially designed for working clinicians who want to polish their skillset and train extensively in the various surgical techniques.

The focus of this course is to help practitioners meet their professional development requirements and build competence in a range of areas in surgery. This course is formulated so that the participants can refresh their knowledge of the basic principles of oral surgery and also enhance their extraction skills. Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to achieve deeper insight into the most common surgical complications encountered in general practice and become confident in the surgical management of minor dentoalveolar surgical cases as well as will be able to manage medically compromised patients in a majority of situations.

Dr. Jashkar, who is currently practicing in Toronto had recently completed his oral surgery training at our institute and shares his experience with us.

I had an opportunity to train under Dr. Rajat Sachdeva in Oral surgery and I must admit that it has been a great learning experience. The amount of knowledge I have gained in here is intangible and I definitely see it helping me in my practice. Although I have been practicing for 10+ years now, my main motive of joining this workshop was to hone my surgical skills. A procedure as simple as extraction has so many nuances associated with it. I believe that anyone can pull out a tooth, people have been doing it since the medieval times. But the finesse and subtlety with which a trained surgeon does it requires a deep understanding of science behind it; and that is why I was here and exactly what I am going back with.

This workshop had taught me some great concepts and a discipline with which any minor or major, surgical or non-surgical case should be executed. The selection criteria of a case, different techniques of treating the case, adopting a minimally invasive technique and the importance of socket preservation was dealt with. I have particularly grasped onto a few important takeaways from the course like the selection of proper armamentarium in our cases. The cases which used to give me a hard time before and I took hours to finally extract, I was able to achieve it in a few minutes and with one-tenth of a mess. The credit definitely went to the application of right technique – understanding when and where to engage and apply force. Impactions were taught beautifully with so much conceptuality that I am never going to forget it. Right from the incision making, raising a good flap, guttering around the bone and retrieval of the tooth with sound engagement was demonstrated clearly along with the rationale and reasoning behind it.

Ergonomics was yet another major issue that I had been struggling with. In the due course of this training, I had even managed to correct it and ended up with more working energy, a reduced stress level, increased comfort, lack of pain and muscular tension.

Overall, I am really glad that I chose this institute for my training as nothing less would have sufficed. Dr. Rajat is an extremely talented and genuine surgeon who performs his surgeries immaculately. It was great to learn from him and God willing, I will come back for more.

We offer our students a well-versed clinical and didactic training that will prepare them to practice and excel in oral surgery in a private practice setting. To know more about the course, do visit our oral surgery training courses or directly contact us.
